ABOUT PKMASP - KIDZ ZONE
SERVING THE JIM THORPE AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT SINCE 2010
Our Before and After School Programs at PKMASP - Kidz Zone cater to the needs of children from Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Our Program includes a range of activities and mentoring opportunities designed to foster spiritual growth, emotional adjustment, and peer relations in a safe and secure environment.
PKMASP opened its doors in 2010 through the efforts of a leadership team consisting of members of four Churches located “Out the Mountain.”
In 2014, PKMASP expanded to include a Before-School Session to accommodate parents in need of before-school care.
When the JTASD was forced to institute a Virtual Learning Platform in November 2020 due to the COVID Pandemic, Kidz Zone opened for full-day care.
In 2022, PKMASP changed its name to "PKMASP - Kidz Zone."
During its 14 years of service to the Community, PKMASP – Kidz Zone has provided care for more than 165 children from 128 Families living in Jim Thorpe Borough, Penn Forest Township, and Kidder Townships Township.
KIDZ ZONE IS OFFERED MONDAY - FRIDAY
MORNING SESSION
6:00 AM - 8:15 AM
AFTERNOON SESSION
3:30 PM - 6:30 PM
In addition, care is provided on scheduled Early Dismissal Days, Teacher In-Service Days, and certain other school district holidays when school is not in session during the hours of 6:00am and 6:30pm. PKMASP - Kidz Zone also accommodates 2-Hour Delays and Early Dismissals that are due to seasonal inclement weather conditions. PKMASP - Kidz Zone provides working parents with welcome peace of mind in the knowledge that their children are safe and being well supervised during the critical before and after-school hours.
